Multilayer pipe 50x4.5mm PEX/AL/PE PN10 Tigris /5m/ 3018296
Multilayer pipes for water and heating installations
Tigris multilayer pipe with a diameter of 50x4.5mm is a reliable solution for building hot and cold water installations, central heating and underfloor heating. The construction consisting of five layers – cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xc), aluminum and polyethylene (PE) – combines the advantages of plastics and metal, ensuring durability and safety of use. The pipe is characterized by high flexibility, which facilitates installation even in difficult conditions.
Construction and properties
The Tigris pipe has been designed with the requirements of modern installations in mind. The aluminum layer acts as an anti-diffusion barrier, preventing oxygen from penetrating the system and minimizing the risk of corrosion of metal elements. Cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xc) provides resistance to high temperatures and pressure, as well as flexibility that makes it easy to bend the pipe without the risk of damage. This makes it possible to reduce the number of fittings, which translates into saving time and installation costs.
- Five-layer construction: a combination of metal strength and plastic flexibility.
- Anti-diffusion barrier: aluminum protects against corrosion of installation elements.
- Temperature resistance: the maximum constant operating temperature is 95°C, and short-term 110°C.
- Flexibility: easy bending and adaptation to installation needs.
- Minimal thermal expansion: simplifies installation and reduces stress in the system.
- Thermal conductivity coefficient: 0.4 W/(m.K) - affects the energy efficiency of the heating system.
- Low wall roughness: 0.002 mm - minimizes flow resistance and prevents scale buildup.
Application and compliance with standards
The Tigris pipe is compatible with Wavin Tigris K1 and M1 fittings systems, ensuring easy and safe connections. It has hygienic approvals from PZH and quality certificates from DVGW for drinking water and gas, confirming its safety for health and the environment and compliance with applicable standards (PN-EN ISO 21003-3:2009, KDWU 01/01). Thanks to its universal application, it can be used both in residential construction and in public and industrial facilities – in domestic water installations, central heating, underfloor heating and technological installations (compressed air, chilled water).
