Reducing tee for water supply and heating installations

This K5 c/z reducing tee, made of polyphenylene sulfone (PPSU) by Wavin, is a reliable solution for connecting pipes of different diameters in drinking water and central heating installations. Designed to operate at a maximum pressure of 10 bar and a temperature of up to 70°C, it ensures durability and safety of connections. Its construction, based on the proven radial pressing technology Tigris K5, guarantees high resistance to corrosion, deposits and high temperatures.

Construction and materials

The tee is made of PPSU – a plastic with exceptional mechanical and chemical properties. PPSU is characterized by high impact resistance, resistance to stress cracking and thermal stability (resistance to thermal deformation above 200°C). In addition, the fitting has a stainless steel crimping sleeve, which increases its strength and corrosion resistance. In the version with an internal thread, inserts made of lead-free DZR brass (CW 724R) are used, ensuring compliance with drinking water quality standards. Seals are made of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EDPM) rubber, ensuring a tight connection.
