Eccentric reducer PEHD 50x40mm – reliability and savings in the QuickStream system
This eccentric reducer, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), is a key element of the WAVIN QuickStream rainwater drainage system. The transition from a 50mm diameter pipe to a 40mm diameter pipe allows for flexible adaptation of the installation to the specifics of the roof and optimization of water flow. Its design, with a 180-degree bend, ensures a smooth transition and minimizes pressure loss.
Design and application
The reducer is one-piece, with a simple construction, which translates to easy and quick installation. The eccentric model allows maintaining the continuity of the flow even when changing the pipe diameter, which is particularly important in systems with high efficiency. The use of welded connections guarantees the tightness and durability of the entire installation. This element will be suitable for both new installations and for the modernization of existing rainwater drainage systems.
Advantages for professionals and end users
The QuickStream system, in which this reducer is used, has been designed with efficiency and savings in mind. The use of HDPE elements translates to:
- Strength and resistance: the material is resistant to impacts, high and low temperatures, and the action of most chemicals.
- Lightweight: facilitates the transport and installation of system elements.
- Durability: UV stabilizers protect against material aging under the influence of sunlight.
- Savings: the ability to reduce the total length of pipes, the number of inlets and pipe diameters translates into lower investment and operating costs.
- Quick installation: QuickStream elements allow you to shorten the installation time, which is important for professionals.
- Tightness: welded connections ensure complete system tightness.
Additionally, the reducer has KIWA and KOMO certificates, confirming its high quality and compliance with applicable standards. The Zeta value of 0 means no impact on water flow in the system. The seals used provide additional protection against leaks. The maximum working pressure is 3.2 bar at a temperature of 20°C and the operating temperature range is 23-90°C. The material is PE-80 with a ring stiffness class of "Other".
