Tigris M5 reducing connector, with diameters of 20x16 mm, is a reliable solution for connecting multilayer pipes in hot and cold water systems, central heating and underfloor heating. Made of brass, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. It is an element designed for crimping, which guarantees the tightness and safety of the connection.

Design and application

The reducing connector allows you to change the pipe diameter from 20 mm to 16 mm, which is useful in situations where it is necessary to adapt the installation to existing elements or connect pipes with different parameters. Thanks to the MULTI JAW technology, the fitting can be crimped using five different types of jaws - U, Up, H, TH and B - which increases its versatility and eliminates the need to have many sets of tools. The length of the connector is 70 mm, and the length of the connections is 25.5 mm. Seals made of monomeric ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EDPM) ensure the tightness of the connection.

Safety and quality control

Tigris M5 fittings are equipped with an innovative Acoustic Leak Alert (acoustic leak detection) function. If the fitting is not crimped during the air pressure test, a loud sound (approx. 80 dB) is emitted, making it easier to locate the problem. Additionally, the IN4SURE function allows you to visually check that the pipe is correctly inserted into the fitting before crimping, which minimizes the risk of installation errors. The connector has a KIWA certificate confirming compliance with quality standards. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar at a temperature of up to 70°C.
