Modular contactor with manual control, installation 40A, 4xNO, 230V AC STM-40-40/S EXT10000315
Modular contactor for controlling and protecting circuits
This modular contactor, designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, is a reliable solution for controlling loads in domestic and industrial installations. Designed by ZAMEL, the STM-40-40/S model combines functionality, safety and ease of use. It is ideal for control circuits for lighting, heating, and simple automation systems.
Construction and application
The STM-40-40/S contactor is distinguished primarily by its 4xNO (normally open) contact arrangement, allowing simultaneous switching of several circuits. A maximum current of 40A in AC5b and AC7a categories ensures the ability to control larger loads. Additionally, the presence of a manual operation lever allows the contactor to be switched on or off even in the absence of power – useful in emergency situations or during installation maintenance. The ability to cooperate with auxiliary contacts SPM-05-11 and SPM-05-20 expands the functionality of the device, enabling the implementation of more complex control systems.
Advantages and benefits
- Versatility: Suitable for controlling various loads – from lighting to heating.
- Safety: Provides galvanic isolation between the control circuit and the load, minimizing the risk of damage and electric shock.
- Manual control: Lever allows switching on/off without power – useful during failures or maintenance work.
- Easy installation: Modular design simplifies installation on a standard TH35 rail.
- Compatibility: Works with auxiliary contacts SPM-05-11 and SPM-05-20, expanding application possibilities.
- Durability: Made of high-quality materials guarantees long life and reliable operation.
- Adapted to work with various loads: Thanks to the AC7a category (40A) it is ideal for circuits with high starting current, e.g. electric motors. The C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, therefore it tolerates starting devices with a motor well.
Thanks to this, the contactor is a solid element of every electrical installation, ensuring safe and efficient load control.
