Oil derivative substances separators

Oil separators - your environmental insurance policy
Let's talk about something that may not be sexy, but is incredibly important - oil separators. Do you know how many times I've seen someone pay thousands for ground pollution because they ignored the need for a good separator? Trust me, you don't want to be in their shoes.
Oil-derived substance separators are invisible guardians of the environment . Imagine you have a car wash or a parking lot. Rain is falling, washing oil and gasoline off the asphalt. Where does it all go? Bingo! To the sewage system. And from there... well, it's better not to think. Unless you have a separator. Then you sleep soundly, and the fish in the nearby river thank you telepathically.
Types of oil separators - which one to choose?
We have a large selection of separators in our wholesaler. We mainly sell Hauraton and Kessel products. It's like choosing between a Mercedes and a BMW - both are great, but each has its advantages. Personally, I'm a fan of Kessel - their coalescing separators are true works of engineering art.
- LW coalescing separators - compact, ideal for smaller installations
- AQUAFIX separators - versatile, available in concrete and polyethylene versions
- Capacity from 1.5 l/s to 200 l/s - from a small car wash to an airport, we have it!
- Bypass options - for those who like to have a spare outlet
In my experience, it's worth investing in a decent separator. It's like a good lawyer - expensive to buy, but even more expensive to not have.
How to choose the right oil separator?
Wondering how to choose the perfect separator? Don't worry, I'll walk you through it step by step:
1. Throughput - this is the basis. You need to know how much water will flow through the separator.
2. Type of installation - a parking lot is not the same as a car repair shop.
3. Material - concrete or polyethylene? Depends on ground conditions and budget.
4. Size of the settling tank - from 150 l to 1500 l. The larger it is, the less often it needs to be cleaned.
Remember that a separator is not a place to save money. It is better to spend more at the beginning than to pay fines for environmental pollution later. Believe me, I have seen companies that went bankrupt due to such negligence.
Hauraton vs Kessel - the battle of giants in the world of oil separators
Listen, both of these brands are absolute leaders. Hauraton has great solutions for large industrial installations. Their bypass separators are world-class - they can handle even the most extreme precipitation. Kessel, on the other hand... oh, Kessel is my personal love. Their coalescing separators have PE connectors , which makes installation a pure pleasure.
What's more, both brands offer different models for different throughputs. Do you have a small car wash? There's a separator for you. Do you manage a large parking lot at a shopping mall? We'll find something for you too. It's a bit like shoes - they have sizes for every foot.
