This versatile B2Ca OS2 fiber optic cable is designed for reliable data transmission both indoors and outdoors. Its construction, based on single-mode SM 24J 9/125 LSOH fibers, guarantees high signal quality and resistance to external factors. The cable is particularly recommended for use in buildings with increased safety requirements, such as hospitals, offices or public buildings, due to compliance with the B2ca standard and having the appropriate quality certificate.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a ZW-NOTKtsdD / U-DQ(ZN)BH single-tube construction, which facilitates fiber processing and splicing. The tube contains up to 24 fibers, allowing for efficient data transmission in various network topologies. In addition, the optical fibers are protected against moisture thanks to the use of a water-absorbing swelling material and protected against mechanical damage by aramid fibers – this is a rodent protection. The LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) coating ensures safety in the event of a fire by minimizing smoke emission and the absence of toxic gas release. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.5 mm, and its weight is 55 kg for 24 fibers.
Application and compliance with standards
The cable is ideal for creating LAN, FTTH (Fiber To The Home), FTTD (Fiber To The Desk) and WAN networks. It meets the requirements of CPR 305/2011 and has a B2ca class, which confirms its fire resistance and safety of use. Single-mode fibers G.657.A2 offer three times smaller bending radius than standard G.652.D fibers, which facilitates installation in tight spaces. The G.652.D standard ensures compatibility with existing fiber optic infrastructure and efficient transmission over long distances at wavelengths of 1310 nm, 1550 nm and 1625 nm. The cable is resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors.
