Telecommunications cable for outdoor applications

This Cat 6 U/UTP cable, designed for outdoor installations, is a robust solution for telecommunications networks, CCTV systems and other applications requiring reliable data transmission. Made of high-quality copper, it ensures stable operation even in harsh weather conditions. The cable is filled with a hydrophobic gel, which further protects it from moisture and corrosion, allowing it to be laid in cable ducts or directly in the ground (in areas not exposed to mechanical damage).

Construction and parameters

The cable features a U/UTP (Unshielded/Unshielded Twisted Pair) construction, meaning it has no shielding. The core consists of four twisted pairs of copper conductors with a cross-section of 23 AWG (0.57 mm), placed on a cross-shaped core insert – this solution minimizes crosstalk between pairs and improves signal quality. The outer jacket made of polyethylene (PE) is resistant to UV radiation and ensures the durability of the cable in outdoor conditions. The cable class is E (compliant with the 250 MHz standard), but thanks to the extended characteristics up to 475 MHz, it enables data transmission at speeds up to 1 Gb/s, and on shorter distances (up to 55m) even 10 Gb/s.

Application and compatibility

This cable is ideal for outdoor LAN and Ethernet installations, connections between buildings, and when mounting IP cameras and WiFi access points. It supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) IEEE 802.3at standard, which allows you to power network devices directly through the cable. Euroclass Fca means that the cable can be used in buildings without special fire safety requirements and in outdoor installations. It is backward compatible with lower category elements, such as patch panels or RJ45 keystone modules. The spool length is 500 meters, making it an economical choice for larger projects.
