Universal U/UTP Cat.3 cable for telecommunication networks

This multi-pair U/UTP Category 3 cable, consisting of 100 pairs, is designed for building internal installations in telecommunication networks. It is suitable for both new installations and modernizations where reliable data transmission at speeds up to 100 Mbps is required. The cable is made of high-quality materials, guaranteeing its durability and performance.

This cable is particularly recommended for use in facilities where strict fire reaction regulations apply – thanks to its Euroclass Eca classification, it ensures safety in the event of a fire. The use of LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheathing minimizes the emission of toxic gases during combustion, further increasing the level of safety.

Construction and application

The cable consists of 100 twisted pairs of copper conductors with a diameter of 0.5 mm (24 AWG), insulated with polyethylene. The lack of shielding makes the cable easy to install and relatively inexpensive – ideal for less demanding environments with low levels of electromagnetic interference. It can be used in LAN, WAN and SAN networks, as well as for transmitting audio and video signals. Compliance with the ISO/IEC 11801 standard ensures compatibility with most network devices.

Thanks to the construction based on 100 pairs, the cable is also suitable for telephone applications. The ability to power devices with PoE (Power over Ethernet) according to the IEEE 802.3af (Type 1) standard extends its range of applications – allowing you to power IP cameras, VoIP phones or access points without the need for additional power supplies. The maximum length of the cable section should be 90 meters along with cross-connecting at the ends of the installation (up to 5m for each connection).

Safety and compliance with standards

The cable meets the requirements of EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council (CPR), confirming its high quality and safety of use. Class Eca means limited flammability and low smoke emission during combustion. The LSOH sheathing further increases safety by preventing the release of toxic halogens in the event of a fire. The wires have been tested according to EN 60332-1-2.
