Split system for efficient heating

The Alfea Extensa S heat pump is a split-type device designed for the central heating of residential buildings. The design divides the system into two separate modules - an indoor unit mounted inside the building and an outdoor unit on the facade or near the property - allowing for flexible component placement and easier servicing.

Indoor module - built-in hydraulics

The indoor unit houses the complete working hydraulics - there is no need to purchase or install a buffer tank separately. The patented heat exchanger features a coaxial design, ensuring a durable hydraulic connection without additional seals or piping. Inside, there is also an electric backup heater with a power of 3 kW - sufficient to cover peak demand or emergency heating support; there is an option to expand this element up to 6 kW. The entire unit weighs approximately 62 kg when filled with water.

Outdoor module - quiet operation and reliability

The outdoor unit contains a fan, compressor, evaporator, and expansion valve - all enclosed in an acoustically and thermally insulated housing. The compressor operates with 10-stage power modulation controlled by VPAM automation - instead of cyclical switching on and off, the device smoothly adjusts its output to the current thermal demand of the building. The R32 refrigerant has a lower global warming potential than the previously used HFCs.

The maximum refrigerant circuit pressure is 42 bar, and the allowable height difference between units is 20 meters. The factory charge eliminates the need for vacuuming at the installation site; the standard pipe installation length ranges from 3 to a maximum of 30 meters (for the 9,5 kW model). The single-phase power supply of 230V / 16A means the device does not require a three-phase connection - a standard domestic circuit is sufficient to operate the unit even at full backup heater load.

Efficiency and control

The model with a nominal power of 9,5 kW achieves a COP of 4.5 at an outdoor temperature of +7°C and a flow temperature of +35°C - every kilowatt of electrical energy translates into more than four times the amount of heat delivered to the heating system. When the outdoor temperature drops to -7°C, the heating power remains at approximately 8,9 kW, and the device maintains efficiency even at -25°C outdoors.

The maximum flow temperature is 55°C, allowing for compatibility with both traditional high-temperature radiators (though at lower efficiency) and modern low-temperature installations - such as underfloor heating or FCU ventilation.

Control is managed via the Navilink user interface panel; the factory-built Wi-Fi module enables integration with the Cozytouch app without additional bridges or gateways - a smartphone or tablet is all that is needed to change the operating mode or monitor energy consumption from anywhere.

Installation and compatibility

The hydraulic connection of the indoor module is a 1 inch thread, and the minimum water flow through the circuit is 300 liters/h. The expansion vessel volume is 12 liters. The manufacturer offers expansion kits for two-zone or multi-zone installations if the project requires division into independent heating circuits.

The manufacturer provides dedicated regulation kits that allow the system to be expanded with additional control functions. Technical documentation includes installation instructions and ErP certificates confirming the energy classification of A+++ (at +35°C) / A++ (at +55°C).
