Metal junction box – reliability and safety of installation

This metal junction box PMO1(5/6) is a key element of every electrical installation where safety and continuity of operation are a priority. Designed to operate in an E90 system, it protects electrical circuits even in extreme conditions, such as fire. This is an ideal solution for fire alarm systems, alarms and emergency lighting.

The box is characterized by a high degree of protection IP65, which guarantees resistance to dust and moisture. Sealing in the range of 7 mm to 18.5 mm allows connection of cables of different diameters. Made of durable galvanized steel (PN-EN 10152) and powder coated in RAL 2004, it provides long-term protection against corrosion and mechanical damage. Alternatively, a version made of stainless steel 1.4301 powder coated RAL 2003 is available – ideal for particularly aggressive environments.

Installation and application

The box is easy and intuitive to install thanks to external mounting brackets allowing attachment to concrete using steel dowels. The possibility of mounting on cable trays using SGKM6x12 screws and dedicated brackets UP1 or UPP with a set of SGNM6x12 or SGKM6x12 screws further increases the flexibility of the installation. Inside the box there is a terminal block made of special ceramics resistant to high temperatures and a cable gland made of halogen-free plastic, which increases safety of use. The possibility of using M25 swivel cable glands expands the range of compatibility with different types of cables.

• The E90 function ensures at least 90 minutes of continued operation of devices in the event of a fire, in accordance with DIN 4102 part 12.
• The IP65 protection class guarantees protection against dust and water jet, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor applications (provided proper installation).
