Effective roof water drainage – stainless steel pressure inlet
This 50 mm diameter pressure roof inlet, made of AISI-304 (1.4301) stainless steel, is a reliable solution for draining larger roof areas. Its construction, with a stainless steel collar and a height of 702 mm, ensures effective water drainage, especially in vacuum systems. The use of stainless steel guarantees corrosion resistance and long-term operation, even in harsh weather conditions.
Construction and application
The inlet is designed for installation in a single layer of insulation. The vacuum system in which it is used is ideal for roofs with an area of over 500 m², such as office buildings, industrial halls or shopping centers. The key to efficiency is the air gap acting as a siphon – it quickly fills the pipes with water (up to 100% of the cross-section), eliminating air and generating a vacuum. This, in turn, increases the flow rate and amount of water, resulting in faster and more effective drainage of water from the roof.
- Advantages of the vacuum system: fewer inlets and pipes with smaller cross-sections are needed compared to traditional gravity systems.
- Installation flexibility: pipes can be laid horizontally without the need for a slope.
- Durability: AISI-304 (1.4301) stainless steel provides corrosion resistance and a long service life.
- Fast drainage: thanks to the vacuum system, water is drained faster than in traditional gravity systems.
It is worth remembering that for complete roof drainage, it is recommended to use EuroPipe pipes and fittings dedicated to both gravity and vacuum systems. Gravity system inlets, on the other hand, are suitable for smaller roof areas (below 500 m²), such as residential buildings, garages or small office buildings.
