The Oyster connection system – reliability and fast installation

Oyster pliers are a specialized tool designed for making connections in the Oyster system by Conex. They enable quick and secure installation of fittings on copper and stainless steel pipes, eliminating the need for soldering, welding or using additional sealants. This is an ideal solution for both professional installers and demanding end-users.

Versatility and compatibility

Oyster pliers work with fittings made of brass CW617N and bronze CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C, manufactured in accordance with PN EN 12165 and PN EN 1982 standards. This allows them to be used to connect pipes meeting the requirements of PN EN 1057 (copper) and PN EN 10312 (stainless steel) standards. The Oyster system finds application in water, heating, sanitary and industrial installations. It allows connection with various types of threaded elements – ball valves, radiator valves, manifolds and others.

Safety and durability

Oyster fittings are characterized by high tightness and durability. The materials used in their production – brass and bronze – ensure corrosion resistance and long-term use. Bronze connectors are particularly recommended for drinking water installations, thanks to the reduced content of lead and nickel (PZH Certificate). Connections made using the Oyster system are disconnectable, which facilitates servicing and possible modifications to the installation. Additionally, the possibility of reusing the connectors translates into savings. The warranty on the Oyster system is 10 years, which proves its high quality and reliability.

Construction and installation

The Oyster system is based on unique fittings with an external thread equipped with two EPDM O-rings, which ensure the tightness of the connection. Installation is simple and intuitive – just use the dedicated Oyster pliers (Y77267 0000000) to crimp the fitting onto the pipe. This does not require specialized skills or access to energy sources. It should be remembered that Oyster fittings should not be used in gas installations or mounted under plaster or poured into the ground. They are also not suitable for use as grounding conductor elements due to the lack of electrical conductivity.
