Compact isolator switch for residential distribution boards

The HIS-32/4 main isolator is a compact isolation device designed for installation in residential distribution boards and small commercial facilities. The four-pole design allows for the safe disconnection of all phases and the neutral conductor, ensuring full separation of the circuit from the power supply. The device functions as a main switch and provides isolation in accordance with the requirements of electrical installation standards.

The HIS-32/4 model has been designed for long-term operation in domestic and semi-industrial conditions. An operating temperature range from -5°C to +40°C allows for installation in various locations, and the IP40 protection rating provides basic protection against contact with live parts and against access to solid objects larger than 1mm.

The device operates at a rated voltage of 415V AC and a current of 32A, making it suitable for most residential installations and small commercial premises. A short-circuit strength of 1kA and a rated breaking capacity of 12.5kA guarantee safe operation even in the event of short circuits.

The construction occupies 4 modules on a DIN rail with a width of 70.8mm, a depth of 60mm, and a height of 80mm. The mounting depth is only 69.5mm, which facilitates installation even in shallow distribution boards. The "lift terminal" type terminals support conductors with a cross-section of up to 50mm², allowing for the connection of thick power cables.

Operational safety and locking capabilities

The isolator is equipped with a locking mechanism that allows for a padlock to be attached, meeting the requirements of LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures during maintenance work on the electrical installation. The arrow symbol printed on the device clearly indicates the switching function.

The device is RoHS compliant, confirming the absence of harmful substances in its construction. Heat dissipation is 1.3W per pole, which, with the four-pole design, results in a total heat loss of approximately 5.2W.
