Residual Current Device (RCD) PFIM-100/4/01 is a key element ensuring the protection of people and equipment against electric shock and the effects of short circuits. The switch has been designed with easy mounting on a DIN rail (4 module width) in mind. Screw and busbar terminals, both from above and below, significantly facilitate the connection of wires with a cross-section from 1.5 mm² to 35 mm² (solid) or 1.5 mm² to 16 mm² (stranded). The possibility of adding auxiliary contacts, undervoltage releases and auto-reclosing devices expands the functionality of the device and allows it to be adapted to the specific needs of the installation. The power supply direction is arbitrary, providing flexibility during installation. Additionally, the optical indicator of contact setting facilitates visual control of the device status.

Functionality and parameters – protection tailored to needs

This four-pole residual current device with a rated voltage of 400V and a frequency of 50Hz has a lock preventing accidental switching on after switching off due to a fault. The rated differential current is 0.1A (100mA), and the rated impulse withstand voltage is 4kV. The device is characterized by low power losses – only 18.8W – which translates into energy savings. Designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to 60°C and has a protection degree of IP20. It should be remembered that the device does not have short-circuit tripping or selective protection function.
