Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection
Knife fuse links NH are industrial devices designed to protect electrical installations from the effects of short circuits and overloads. Their construction and electrical parameters comply with PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636 standards, which guarantees their reliable operation. This specific fuse, with a rated current of 6A and a voltage of 400V, is characterized by a time-delay gG characteristic, which means it is a general-purpose fuse, ideal for protecting cables against overloads and short circuits.
Construction and features of NH000 gG 6A/400V fuse
The fuse is made of high-quality materials – a steatite body provides thermal stability, and silver-plated brass knife contacts guarantee good electrical contact. Aluminum covers protect against corrosion, which translates to a long service life. The fuse is tightly filled with quartz sand of a special granulation, which ensures a high short-circuit breaking capacity (up to 120kA) and stable electrical parameters.
- Dual tripping indicator: a combination of a red eye on the ceramic body and a springy plate on the cover makes it easy to quickly identify a blown fuse.
- Remote signaling capability: the indicator on the top cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch, enabling remote monitoring of the fuse status.
- Easy mounting: the silver-plated contact knives are designed to facilitate mounting in a fuse base or fuse disconnector.
- Safety of use: insulated handles (NH…/I…) are available to provide additional protection against contact with live parts.
Application and compliance with standards
NH fuse links are widely used in industrial installations, public buildings and anywhere where reliable protection against the effects of short circuits and overloads is required. They meet the requirements of IEC 60269-1 and IEC 60269-2 standards, confirming their safety and compliance with applicable standards. Additionally, thanks to the gG characteristic, they are suitable for protecting circuits with various types of loads. The pre-arcing integral clearing I²t value is 199 A²s and the peak let-through current is 121 A²s, demonstrating its effectiveness in the event of a short circuit.
