Diaphragm expansion vessel AIRFIX-E-12, 12L, 4.0/10 bar / 70°C, with synthetic flow distributor, threaded connection R3/4", white RAL 9010, for DHW and booster systems, hanging. 25241
Expansion vessel for DHW and booster systems
This is an Airfix-E type expansion vessel, designed for use in domestic hot water (DHW) installations and booster systems. Its construction is designed to provide reliable protection against overpressure and maintain stable pressure in the installation. The inside of the tank is coated with a special anti-corrosion coating that prevents oxidation and extends the life of the device. The membrane made of butyl rubber (IIR) does not affect the taste, smell or color of the water, which is particularly important in drinking water installations.
Construction and application
The Airfix-E vessel is characterized by a flow-through design that minimizes the risk of water stagnation and bacterial growth. It is equipped with a synthetic flow divider, which further eliminates the formation of undesirable microorganisms inside the tank. Filling with nitrogen ensures longer stability of the initial pressure, and the white housing (RAL 9010) blends aesthetically into the surroundings. It can be used in both vertical and horizontal orientation – although the manufacturer recommends vertical mounting. Thanks to the fact that it is adapted to work with a maximum medium temperature of 70°C, it will find application in a wide range of installations.
Key features and benefits
- Corrosion protection: Both internal and external coatings protect against corrosion on the water and nitrogen sides, guaranteeing long-term reliability.
- Hygiene: The flow-through design and synthetic flow divider prevent water stagnation and bacterial growth, ensuring hygienic conditions.
- Stable pressure: Nitrogen filling maintains a constant initial pressure for a longer time, which translates into efficient operation of the installation.
- Safety for health: The membrane made of butyl rubber does not affect the parameters of drinking water – its taste, smell and color remain unchanged.
- Versatility: Suitable for use in both DHW and booster systems and can work with glycol mixtures up to 50%.
- Durability: Made of high-quality materials resistant to the conditions prevailing in water installations – confirmed by compliance with the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU and the PZH hygiene certificate.
- Easy installation: R3/4" threaded connection facilitates integration with existing hydraulic infrastructure.
Remember to select the expansion tank correctly to the parameters of the installation and regularly check its technical condition to ensure optimal system operation and safety of use.
