Universal connector for drainage pipes – regardless of material

The Funke VPC® flexible connector is a solution dedicated to connecting pipes of the same nominal diameter, made of different materials – cast iron, PP, PE, PVC, stoneware, concrete, GRP and others. A key feature is the ability to connect pipes with different outer diameters, which often occurs in practice. The connector design allows for flexible adaptation and secure sealing regardless of the type of elements being connected.

Construction and principle of operation

The connector consists of several key components: an elastomer sealing cuff made of EPDM (according to PN-EN 681-1 WC/60), a positioning cage made of durable plastic and two steel alloy straps. The cuff has a double sealing profile, guaranteeing reliable connection in accordance with the PN-EN 1610 standard. The positioning cage ensures centric alignment of the connected pipes, and the straps allow for precise diameter adjustment. The oil-resistant version (VPC150OEL_0020) uses V4A stainless steel (1.4404), providing resistance to oils, gasoline and aggressive chemicals present in wastewater and soil – this is particularly important for installations exposed to such factors.
