Compensating socket for demanding installations

This compensating socket made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a diameter of 110 mm is designed for the construction of drainage systems in industry and other demanding applications. Made of durable PE-80 material, it provides reliability and resistance to chemical corrosion. A double sealing ring and seal protection guarantee a tight connection, minimizing the risk of leaks.

This socket is an integral part of the Geberit HDPE system, which is characterized by exceptional resistance to external factors. The possibility of laying in concrete is an additional advantage, especially appreciated on construction sites and in industrial facilities. This system is used in wastewater drainage from buildings, roof drainage, as well as in industrial and laboratory installations.

Design and application

The socket is designed to connect polyethylene pipes by butt or electrofusion welding – methods ensuring durable and tight connections. PE-80 material is characterized by high resistance to approximately 95% of standard bases, acids and chemicals, making it an ideal choice for aggressive environments. Additionally, the polyethylene contains special additives protecting against UV radiation, allowing the pipes to be stored outdoors for longer without loss of properties.

The use of a double sealing ring and seal protection are key structural elements affecting the reliability of this element. The EPDM rubber seal provides an additional barrier against leaks, and the protection prevents damage during assembly and operation. The spigots made of plastic for welding/fusion ensure compatibility with other elements of the Geberit HDPE system.

This socket will find application in industrial installations, wastewater drainage systems and terrain drainage. It is made of polyethylene (PE-80), has a nominal diameter of DN 100 and an outer pipe diameter of 110 mm, and the wall thickness is 4.3 mm. The seal is made of EPDM rubber, and the connection is made by welding/fusion.
