PEHD elbow for drainage systems – a durable and resistant solution

This elbow is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with a diameter of 50 mm and a 90-degree angle, designed for the construction of drainage systems. The extended end provides a stable connection and facilitates welding/butt fusion. The product is characterized by high chemical and mechanical resistance, making it an ideal choice for both internal and external installations.

Properties and application

The Geberit HDPE elbow is a component of a drainage system that finds application in many areas: drainage of water from buildings, roof drainage (gravity and vacuum), terrain drainage and in industrial installations. The possibility of laying in concrete is an additional advantage of this solution. PE-80 material provides high tensile strength and resistance to shocks, drops and impacts. Thanks to the content of special additives, the polyethylene is resistant to UV radiation, which allows for longer storage of pipes outdoors.

Construction and assembly

The elbow has plastic sockets designed for welding/butt fusion, which guarantees the tightness and durability of the connection. The wall thickness of the connections is 3 mm, and the outer diameter of the pipe is 50 mm. The length of the connections has been adapted for effective welding – 180 mm on one side and 40 mm on the other. Assembly requires the use of appropriate machines and tools for butt fusion or the use of electrofusion sleeves. Made of PE-HD (PE-80) material, the elbow is resistant to the action of most standard bases, acids and chemicals (approximately 95%).
