PEHD Drainage Pipes – Durable and Versatile Solution
Geberit high-density polyethylene (PEHD) pipes are a reliable choice for building drainage systems in various applications. They are characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage, chemicals, and UV radiation, guaranteeing long-lasting and trouble-free operation. They are ideal for both internal installations in buildings and external ones, including underground installations.
Properties and Applications
Geberit PEHD pipes are used in: drainage of wastewater from buildings, roof drainage systems, industrial installations, commercial and laboratory facilities. The possibility of laying in concrete is an additional advantage, especially appreciated on construction sites. Thanks to their flexibility and strength, these pipes perform perfectly in difficult conditions, ensuring safe and efficient water drainage. Butt or electrofusion welding allows for the creation of tight and durable connections.
Advantages of Geberit PEHD Pipes
- Chemical resistance: resistance to approximately 95% of standard bases, acids and chemicals ensures the longevity of the installation even in an aggressive environment.
- UV resistance: special additives protect the polyethylene from degradation caused by sunlight, allowing the pipes to be stored outdoors for longer periods.
- Possibility of laying in concrete: pipes can be poured with concrete without risk of damage to the connections thanks to welding technology.
- Tightness of connections: butt or electrofusion welding guarantees durable and tight connections, minimizing the risk of leaks.
- Lightweight and easy installation: low weight facilitates transport and installation of pipes, shortening the investment time.
- Wide range of diameters: availability of different diameters allows you to adapt the pipes to individual project needs.
- Durability and reliability: PEHD material is characterized by high resistance to cracks, impacts and other mechanical damage.
A PEHD pipe with a diameter of 250 mm and a wall thickness of 7.8 mm has a ring stiffness class of SN4 and a pressure class of PN 3.2. Its nominal diameter is DN 250 and its water capacity is 43.1 l/m. The pipe is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to 80°C. The black color of the pipe provides additional protection against UV radiation.
