Residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection 4P 6kA B 32A/30mA Type A ADM432C
Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent Protection 4P 6kA B 32A/30mA Type A is a comprehensive solution ensuring safety in electrical installations. The device combines the functions of an overcurrent and residual current breaker, protecting circuits against overload, short circuit and electric shock. Its versatility makes it a good choice for both professional installers and end users.
Protection and functionality
This four-pole (4P) circuit breaker with a rated current of 32A and a residual current of 30mA effectively protects circuits against the effects of failures. Characteristic B provides a quick response to overloads, but allows for momentary current surges, which is important when connecting devices with motors or other elements generating surge currents. The short-circuit breaking capacity at 6kA guarantees safe disconnection of the circuit in the event of a short circuit. Additionally, Type A means that the breaker reacts to both sinusoidal currents and pulsating DC currents – which increases the range of protection.
Installation and application
The circuit breaker, 4 modules wide (71 mm), is easy to install in standard distribution boards. The possibility of flush mounting further increases its flexibility. Designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to 40°C and with a protection degree of IP2X, it can be used in various environmental conditions. It accepts solid wire cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm² and stranded wires from 1 to 16 mm², making it easy to adapt to existing installations. The mechanical lock prevents accidental switching on of the breaker after tripping.
Safety and compliance with standards
The device meets the requirements of IEC 60898-1 and IEC 60664/IEC 60947-2 standards, confirming its high quality and safety of use. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4 kV, and the rated insulation voltage Ui is 500 V. The energy limitation class is 3, and the surge category is III – these parameters testify to the solidity of the construction and resistance to interference.
