Industrial robot cable – flexibility and durability in demanding conditions

This metered ROBOFLEX 2001 4G1 cable is designed for the specific requirements of industrial robots and control systems. It provides a reliable connection in applications where resistance to repeated bending, twisting and external factors is crucial. The cable is characterized by exceptional flexibility, which translates to ease of installation and long life in dynamically operating machines.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed of stranded copper conductors, which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. The conductors are insulated with PP, and the whole is surrounded by a special separating foil and a spiral copper screen (coverage approx. 85-95%). The outer jacket is made of durable polyurethane (PUR), resistant to abrasion, tearing, oils and UV radiation. The cable's Type-C construction provides high resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC) – for optimal protection, it is recommended to have contact of the braid with the terminals on both sides. The cable has a yellow-green protective conductor.

The ROBOFLEX 2001 cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0250 / DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU. It is also resistant to microbiological action, rotting, oxygen, ozone and vibrations.

Parameters and applications

The cable has four conductors with a cross-section of 1 mm², which allows for the transmission of control and power signals. The rated voltage is 500 V, and the outer diameter is approximately 6.3 mm. The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -30°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +80°C (stationary). It is ideal for use in industrial robots, control systems and all kinds of devices exposed to intense movements and twisting. Thanks to its construction and properties, it works perfectly where high reliability and durability of electrical connections are required.
