Industrial robot cable – flexibility and durability in one
This metered ROBOFLEX 2001 7G1 cable is designed for demanding applications in industrial robotics, control and signal systems. Its construction ensures reliable operation even with intensive twisting and bending, which is crucial in dynamic working environments. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to external factors, guaranteeing long-lasting and safe operation.
Construction and properties
The cable is constructed of seven stranded copper conductors, providing high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The conductors are insulated with PP, and the entire cable is surrounded by a special separating foil and a spiral copper screen (coverage approx. 85-95%), which minimizes electromagnetic interference. A durable outer polyurethane (PUR) coating protects against abrasion, tearing, oils, greases and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is resistant to microbiological action and the influence of ozone and oxygen. This makes it perfect for harsh industrial conditions.
The cable retains its flexibility even at low temperatures (down to -30°C), and its minimum bending radius is approx. 7.5 x cable diameter, making it easy to install and route in tight spaces. The rated voltage is 500 V, and the conductor cross-section is 1 mm². The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0250 / DIN VDE 0285-525-1 / DIN EN 50525-1 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
Applications and benefits
Designed for use in industrial robots where high flexibility and resistance to twisting (±360°/meter) are required. Ideally suited for control and signal systems in machines and automation equipment. Thanks to the copper shielding, it ensures electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), which is important in environments sensitive to interference. For optimal EMC, it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the braid with cable gland clamps. The low-adhesion coating facilitates cable cleaning and maintenance.
