Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 109 1G35/AWG2 orange, halogen-free 21378

Cable for chain guides – reliability in demanding conditions

This orange HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 109 cable is a specialized solution for use in chain guides, designed for operation in harsh industrial and marine environments. The cable is distinguished by its high flexibility, resistance to external factors, and compliance with safety standards. It is ideal for applications where standard cables fail.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a single core with a cross-section of 35 mm², made of unannealed copper, stranded according to DIN VDE 0295 class 6, BS 6360 class 6 and IEC 60228 class 6 standards. The core insulation is made of a special material providing high mechanical and chemical resistance. The whole is surrounded by a polyurethane (PUR) outer coating, which guarantees resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and extreme temperatures. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 12.7 mm.

It is worth noting a few key features:

  • Halogen-free: meets the standards DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1, which increases safety in the event of a fire and minimizes the emission of toxic gases.
  • Radiation resistance: withstands exposure to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad), making it suitable for use in environments with increased radiation levels.
  • Flexibility: thanks to the stranded core construction class 6, the cable is exceptionally flexible and easy to route in dynamic applications such as robotics or special machines.
  • Chemical resistance: the PUR coating provides resistance to oils, lubricants and many other chemicals found in industry.
  • Temperature range: the cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -40°C (flexible) to +80°C (stationary).

Applications and compliance with standards

The SHIPFLEX® 109 cable is designed for operation in demanding industrial applications, especially in chain guide systems and in marine environments. It will be perfect in:

  • Port machinery and equipment
  • Industrial robotics
  • Automation
  • Renewable energy (e.g. wind farms)
  • Offshore applications

The cable meets the requirements of the CE standard and is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, guaranteeing its safety and reliability. Additionally, it has UV resistance and complies with flame retardant standards (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1).
