Cable for chain guides – reliability in demanding conditions
This specialized HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 109 cable, designed for chain guides, guarantees safe and long-lasting power supply in industrial and marine applications. Designed for extreme conditions, it provides high resistance to external factors and mechanical damage. The cable is sold by the meter, allowing for precise adjustment to the needs of the installation.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a single core with a cross-section of 16 mm², made of unannealed copper, twisted strand class 6 (very flexible). The core insulation is made of a special material, providing high flexibility and abrasion resistance. The whole is surrounded by a polyurethane (PUR) outer coating in orange (RAL 2003), which further protects against the influence of oil, UV radiation and weather conditions. The lack of a common screen makes the cable particularly useful where there are no strong electromagnetic interference.
The SHIPFLEX 109 cable meets strict safety standards, including confirmation of compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). It is also halogen-free, which increases fire safety. In addition, the materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that hinder painting.
Application and benefits
This cable is an ideal solution for:
- Marine industry: Thanks to its high resistance to weather conditions and oils, it works perfectly on ships and drilling platforms.
- Industrial automation: Provides reliable power to machines and equipment operating in difficult conditions.
- Robotics: The flexible construction allows for multiple bending without loss of electrical properties.
- Applications requiring high mechanical resistance: The cable is resistant to abrasion and damage caused by friction in chain guides.
- Installations exposed to low temperatures: The cable remains flexible even at -40°C.
It is worth remembering that the given AWG size (6) is approximate – the exact cross-section is given in mm² (16 mm²). Before installation, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the instructions for installing cables in cable networks and to consult with technical advisors in the case of unusual applications.
