Construction and properties

The SHIPFLEX® 109 cable has a single copper core with a cross-section of 25 mm², which corresponds to AWG4. The core is stranded (class 6), which provides its exceptional flexibility – a key feature in applications with chain guides. The core insulation is made of a special material, and the whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating of polyurethane (PUR). This combination of materials provides resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and low and high temperatures. An important aspect is also the absence of halogen in the composition, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

This cable meets a number of European standards, including DIN VDE and IEC, confirming its compliance with the highest standards of quality and safety. In addition, it is resistant to radiation up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad) and maintains flexibility at low temperatures (down to -40°C). The coupling resistance is a maximum of 250 Ohm/km.
