Cable for chain guides, 1000 V UL shipflex 109 1x50/AWG1 orange, halogen-free 21393

Cable for chain guides – reliability in demanding conditions

This specialized HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 109 cable, designed for chain guides, is distinguished by its exceptional durability and resistance to external factors. Designed for applications in harsh industrial environments, as well as in marine environments, it provides safe and uninterrupted power supply. Its construction and materials guarantee long-term operation even with intense bending and exposure to oils, UV radiation and extreme temperatures.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a single copper core with a cross-section of 50 mm², made in class 6 – which means it is a stranded wire with very high flexibility. The core insulation is made of a special material providing high chemical and mechanical resistance. The whole is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%), which minimizes electromagnetic interference. A durable outer coating made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

Additionally, the cable meets the UL Style 20234 standard and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. Its radiation resistance of up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (100 Mrad) makes it an ideal solution for applications exposed to ionizing radiation. Remember that the given AWG size (approx. 1) is approximate – the exact cross-section is 50 mm².

Applications and benefits

This cable is used primarily in:

  • Chain guides: ideal for dynamic applications in robotics and industrial automation.
  • Marine environments: thanks to its high resistance to corrosion and atmospheric factors.
  • Shipbuilding industry: where high cable reliability and durability are required.
  • Applications requiring oil resistance: e.g. in construction or agricultural machinery.
  • Installations exposed to UV radiation: both indoors and outdoors.

By choosing this cable, you gain:

  • High flexibility: allows free routing in chain guides without the risk of damage to the cores.
  • Resistance to external factors: a guarantee of reliable operation even in difficult environmental conditions.
  • Safety: thanks to the halogen-free coating limiting the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
  • Long-term operation: solid construction ensures a long cable life, minimizing costs associated with replacement and repairs.
  • Compliance with standards: confirmed by UL and CE certificates ensures that the product meets stringent safety and quality requirements.
