Robust cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions

This specialized HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 109-C cable is designed for use in demanding applications such as chain guide systems, as well as in marine environments. It provides reliable operation even under high mechanical loads and in extreme conditions. The construction with shielding and halogen-free polyurethane guarantees safety and long-term operation.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, based on a stranded copper conductor, class 6 (very flexible). The conductor is protected by a special insulation, and the entire cable is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires (optionally aluminum and foil under the braid), which minimizes electromagnetic interference. A durable outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and low and high temperatures. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.

The SHIPFLEX® 109-C cable with a cross-section of 70 mm² (AWG 2/0) is perfect for applications requiring high reliability and resistance to harsh conditions. It is ideal for powering devices in chain guide systems, construction machines, and also in marine applications. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.3 mm, which facilitates its installation and routing. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 times the cable diameter – it is worth taking this into account during installation. The insulation resistance is at least 100 MOhm x km, which guarantees a high-quality electrical connection.
