Cable for chain guides – reliability in demanding conditions
This specialized HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX 109-C cable, designed for chain guides, is distinguished by its exceptional durability and resistance to external factors. This cable is ideal for use in harsh industrial environments, as well as in the marine sector, where it is exposed to contact with oils, chemicals and UV radiation. Made of high-quality materials, it provides safe and long-lasting power supply to devices.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a single core with a cross-section of 240 mm², which corresponds to approximately AWG 500 KCM. The multi-wire copper core (class 6) provides flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during dynamic movements in chain guides. The braid screen protects against electromagnetic interference, which is particularly important in industrial environments. The core insulation made of a special material and the outer polyurethane (PUR) coating guarantee resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. Additionally, the cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
- Mechanical strength: The cable design has been optimized for operation in chain guides, ensuring long-term reliability even with intensive use.
- Chemical resistance: The PUR coating provides resistance to the action of oils, lubricants and many chemicals.
- Safety: The halogen-free coating minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
- Shielding: The braided screen reduces electromagnetic interference, ensuring a stable signal transmission.
- Flexibility: The class 6 multi-wire core provides high flexibility and facilitates cable installation and routing.
- Weather resistance: The cable retains its properties in a wide temperature range (flexibly from -40°C to +80°C, stationary from -40°C to +80°C) and is resistant to UV radiation.
Applications and compliance with standards
The SHIPFLEX 109-C cable finds application in various industrial, marine and other applications where high reliability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions are required. It is an ideal choice for:
- Machines and equipment operating in chain guides
- Marine applications (according to IEC 60092-350 standards)
- Applications requiring resistance to oils and chemicals
- Installations exposed to UV radiation
The cable meets the requirements of standards: DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 (flammability test) and DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1 (halogen-free). The product is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).
