This flexible control cable H05VV-F with PVC insulation is a universal solution for a wide range of electrical installations. Construction and properties

The cable has five cores with a cross-section of 0.75 mm², made of flexible stranded copper (class 5). The cores are insulated with PVC TI2, and their identification is done using colors according to DIN VDE 0293-308 – up to five cores the colors are unique, above five cores black numbering on a white background is used. Additionally, the cable is equipped with a green-yellow protective core (from 3 cores). The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of PVC TM2 in black color. The cable construction provides resistance to radiation up to 80x106 cJ/kg (80 Mrad) and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range.

The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -5°C to +70°C in flexible mode and from -40°C to +70°C in stationary mode. The rated voltage is 300/500V, and the maximum permissible operating voltage in AC 1- and 3-phase installations is U0/U 318/550 V, and DC U0/U 413/825 V. The insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and the test voltage is 2000V. The minimum bending radius is approximately 7.5 x cable diameter.

Applications

The H05VV-F cable is perfect for indoor installations where flexibility and resistance to moderate mechanical stress are required. It can be used in household appliances (e.g. dishwashers, light sources), office equipment, radios or centrifuges. It is also suitable for installation in kitchens and damp rooms, provided direct contact with hot heating elements is avoided. The cable is also used inside furniture, walls and empty spaces in buildings – however, it should not be used outdoors or in industrial and agricultural machines (except sewing machines).
