Control and power cable shielded – reliability and flexibility in every application
This shielded F-CY-OZ 5x1.5 mm² control and power cable is the optimal solution for data and power transmission in demanding industrial environments and electrical installations. Made of high-quality materials, it ensures reliable operation and long-lasting performance. The cable is characterized by its flexibility, which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces.
Construction and properties
The cable is designed for a wide range of applications. It has five cores with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², made of stranded copper, which ensures good flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The cores are insulated with special PVC, and their identification is done using white numbers applied to the black insulation – in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-334. The screen in the form of a dense copper braid minimizes electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing stable signal transmission. In addition, the insulating foil reduces the outer diameter of the cable, which is particularly important in applications where space is limited. The outer jacket made of PVC provides resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors.
Applications and benefits
The F-CY-OZ cable finds application in many areas:
- Control and regulation technology: ideal for connections in industrial automation systems.
- Mechanical engineering: suitable for powering and controlling mechanical devices.
- Electronics: excellent as a signal cable in electronic devices.
- Electrical installations: suitable for routing in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors).
- Data transmission: thanks to the shielding, it ensures stable signal transmission without interference.
Thanks to the shielding, this cable is particularly recommended where electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is important. To optimize EMC, it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands). The cable maintains flexibility in the temperature range from -10°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation. The rated voltage is 300/500 V. The reaction to fire class is Eca, which provides additional safety. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.2 mm.
