This shielded F-CY-OZ control and power cable is an ideal solution for data and power transmission in demanding industrial environments, control and regulation technology, and electronics. The construction from high-quality materials ensures reliability and long-term operation. The cable is particularly recommended where reducing electromagnetic interference is essential.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a construction that provides flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. Seven copper strands with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², made of twisted wire (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295), ensure good conductivity and easy installation. Each strand is insulated with special PVC and then numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334 – which facilitates identification during installation. Additionally, the insulating foil minimizes the outer diameter of the cable, and the dense copper braid effectively shields against electromagnetic interference. This braid, when properly connected to terminals (e.g., cable glands), optimizes electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The outer coating made of special PVC TM2 provides resistance to external factors and protects the cable from damage.
