Flexible control cable – reliability and safety in every application
This shielded flexible cable JZ-600-Y-CY 7G10 AWG8, designed to operate at 1kV, is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users. It provides safe and stable connections in a wide range of applications, from control systems to powering machines and devices. The cable construction guarantees high resistance to mechanical damage and external factors.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, designed for long-term and reliable operation. Copper strands made of twisted wire provide flexibility and facilitate installation. PVC TI2 insulation and an outer jacket made of special PVC TM2 guarantee resistance to oils, chemicals and UV radiation (in the case of a black jacket). A screen made of tinned copper braid minimizes electromagnetic interference, which is particularly important in control and measurement systems. The cable meets stringent European (DIN VDE) and American (UL/CSA) standards, confirming its high quality and safety.
The cable has 7 copper strands, made of twisted wire class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. The insulation of the strands is made of special PVC TI2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3), and the outer jacket of special PVC TM2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1 / DIN EN 50363-4-1). It is available in black (RAL 9005) or grey (RAL 7001). The nominal cross-section is 10 mm², and the approximate outer diameter is 26.8 mm. The cable is designed to operate in a temperature range from -5°C to +80°C when bent and from -40°C to +80°C in stationary installation. The rated voltage is 600/1000 V (VDE) and 1000 V (UL/CSA).
Applications
JZ-600-Y-CY cable is versatile and finds application in many industries:
- Measurement, monitoring and control systems in machines and devices.
- Cable carriers in production lines.
- Air conditioning, foundries and steelworks.
- Installations in dry, damp and wet rooms (with a black outer jacket).
- Where high resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC) is required.
Thanks to its flexibility, the cable is perfect for applications requiring frequent bending and movement. However, it is not intended for laying in the ground or underwater. UV resistance (in the case of a black jacket) allows it to be used in outdoor conditions.
