Flexible control cable – safety and versatility of applications
This halogen-free OZ-600 HMH 3x1 cable is a reliable solution for use in machines, production lines, air conditioning units and steel mills. The cable is designed for both stationary and flexible installations, offering a wide range of potential applications. Its construction makes it perfect for dry, wet and humid environments.
Construction and properties ensuring durability
The cable is characterized by a solid construction: uncolored, stranded copper conductors class 5 (flexible multi-wire) are insulated with halogen-free TI6 mixture. Black conductors with white numbers facilitate identification, and parallel twisting ensures stability. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of TM7 mixture, which guarantees fire resistance and minimal smoke emission in case of fire (LSOH – Low Smoke Halogen). Metered cable facilitates precise adjustment of the length to the needs of the installation.
Safety and compliance with standards
The OZ-600 HMH 3x1 cable meets stringent safety standards, including DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/ DIN EN 50525-3-11. It also has a CE certificate, confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. In addition, the cable is resistant to radiation up to 100x10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 100 Mrad). Fire tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-3-24, BS 4066 part 3 and IEC 60332-3-24 confirm its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties.
- Halogen-free construction: increased fire safety and minimal toxicity of emitted gases.
- Flexibility: allows easy routing of cables in tight spaces and dynamic installations.
- Resistance to weather conditions: can be used in dry, wet and humid environments.
- Numbered conductors: facilitate identification and connection of wires.
- Wide operating temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C for fixed laying and from -15°C to +70°C flexible.
- Excellent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC): for optimal protection against interference, it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands).
Thanks to this, this cable is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end customers looking for a reliable and safe control cable.
