Flexible halogen-free control cable – safety and reliability

This grey, flexible control cable JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H with a cross-section of 12G0.75, designed to operate at 500V, combines high functionality with advanced safety features. Made of multi-strand copper conductors, it is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. This cable is particularly recommended for use in places with increased fire safety requirements, where limiting the emission of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire is crucial.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed with multi-strand copper conductors class 5, which provides high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during frequent bending. The core insulation is made of halogen-free TI7 polymer mixture, which guarantees safety in case of fire – the absence of toxic gas emission protects both people and sensitive electronics. The cores are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, and the whole is surrounded by a polyester foil and a copper braid screen to ensure protection against electromagnetic interference. A durable outer jacket made of halogen-free M1 material (grey RAL 7001 color) further protects the cable from external factors.

The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/DIN EN 50525-3-11 and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51, which confirms its high quality and compliance with European safety standards. Fire reaction class B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 ensures limited flammability and low smoke emission during a fire. Additionally, the cable has undergone tests for resistance to corrosion of gases produced during combustion and oils.
