Low Smoke Zero Halogen Control Cable – Safety and Reliability
This flexible control cable JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H is a solution for installations requiring a high level of fire safety, especially in public places. The cable is designed for buildings of Hazard to People (ZL) character, such as office buildings, hospitals, schools or stations, where minimizing risk in the event of a fire is crucial. Thanks to the use of halogen-free materials, the cable limits the emission of toxic gases and smoke, protecting the health and life of users and sensitive electronics.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation. It is made of multi-wire copper conductors of flexibility class 5, which guarantees high flexibility and resistance to bending. The conductors are insulated with halogen-free TI7 polymer mixture, and their identification is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308. The green-yellow protective conductor is placed outside the core, which facilitates its identification. Twisted conductors are surrounded by a polyester foil and a screen in the form of a copper braid with a coverage density of approximately 85%, which provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC). The outer sheath is made of halogen-free M1 plastic in gray (RAL 7001).
Application and parameters
The JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H 5G2,5 cable is intended for use as a control cable in fixed and flexible installations with medium mechanical load. It will work well both in dry, wet and damp rooms. Thanks to its properties, it is perfectly suited for use in machines, conveyor belts, production lines and air conditioning systems. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11/DIN EN 50525-3-11 and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51. It has a fire reaction class of B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 according to EN 50575.
The operating voltage is 300/500 V, and the operating temperature range in flexible mode is from -15°C to +70°C, while in stationary mode from -40°C to +70°C. The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 12.5 x cable diameter, and for fixed laying – 4 x cable diameter. The cable has a copper braid screen with a coverage density of approximately 85%, which ensures reduction of electromagnetic interference. Made of halogen-free materials, it ensures safety in the event of a fire by limiting the emission of toxic gases and has a CPR class B2ca confirming high fire resistance.
