This halogen-free shielded DATAFLAMM®-C cable, with a cross-section of 3x0.5 mm², is designed for reliable data transmission in a wide range of applications. This cable is particularly recommended where protection against electromagnetic interference and minimization of toxic gas emissions in the event of a fire are required.

Construction and properties

The DATAFLAMM®-C cable is characterized by a careful construction that guarantees its durability and reliability. Copper conductors, twisted in pairs and wrapped in polyester foil, ensure stable signal transmission. A screen of tinned copper wires with approximately 85% coverage effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in modern telecommunications and control systems. Conductor insulation made of polyethylene (PE) in combination with PVC provides excellent dielectric and capacitive properties. The whole is surrounded by a halogen-free outer jacket made of self-extinguishing and flame-retardant PVC, which increases the safety level of the installation.

The cable meets strict standards regarding halogen content (VDE 0482-754-1, DIN EN 60754-1, IEC 60754-1) and corrosivity of fire gases (DIN VDE 0482-754-2, DIN EN 60754-2, IEC 60754-2), making it an ideal choice for public buildings, laboratories and other facilities with increased fire safety requirements. The flexible cable design allows for easy installation even in hard-to-reach places.
