The OZ-500 cable is a flexible control cable designed for medium mechanical loads in electrical installations. It is perfect for applications requiring flexibility and resistance to external factors. The construction with multi-wire copper cores ensures easy installation and a reliable connection.

This cable is widely used in mechanical engineering, control systems, signaling and measurement systems, as well as in building installations. Thanks to its resistance to oils and chemicals, it is ideal for harsh working conditions.

Construction and properties

The OZ-500 cable features a solid construction ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. It consists of:

• Copper cores: Multi-wire class 5 cores provide high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue during repeated bending.
• PVC insulation: Special PVC Z 7225 guarantees good electrical insulation and resistance to mechanical damage.
• Core markings: Black cores with white numbers facilitate identification and correct connection.
• Outer PVC jacket: Durable jacket made of special PVC TM2 protects the cable from external factors such as moisture, UV radiation and oils.

Additionally, this cable has the following properties:

• UV resistance – ensures the durability of the cable even when exposed to sunlight.
• Self-extinguishing and flame-retardant – increases safety in the event of a short circuit or fire (tested according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2).
• Free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting – meets strict environmental standards.
• Available in a version without a yellow-green protective core (OZ).

Operating parameters and compliance with standards

The OZ-500 cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range:

• Ambient temperature during installation: from -15°C to +80°C
• Ambient temperature during operation (without vibration): from -40°C to +80°C

The rated voltage of the cable is 500V, making it suitable for most standard electrical installations. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 standards. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter during stationary operation. The core cross-section is 0.5 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.7 mm.
