Flexible cable OZ-500 – reliability and versatility of applications
The OZ-500 flexible cable is a proposal for professionals and demanding users who need a reliable conductor for various applications. This cable, made of high-quality materials, ensures safe and efficient power transmission under medium mechanical load. Its construction and properties make it ideal for flexible connections where resistance to bending and twisting is important.
Construction and properties – the key to long-term operation
The OZ-500 cable is characterized by a solid construction. It is made of multi-strand copper conductors (class 5), which guarantees its flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The conductors are insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), and the entire cable is surrounded by an outer PVC (TM2) coating in black (RAL 9005). This combination of materials provides resistance to external factors such as moisture, oils and certain chemicals. Importantly, the materials used are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not interfere with painting. The cable is also UV resistant.
Additionally, the cable meets the safety standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has passed tests confirming its self-extinguishing and flame-retardant properties (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1).
Applications and technical parameters
The OZ-500 cable finds application in a wide range of electrical installations – both in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as outdoors (excluding direct laying in the ground or water). It will be useful in mechanical industry for control, signaling and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts.
The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a conductor cross-section of 1 mm². It is made of PVC insulation, and its outer coating is also made of PVC. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.2 mm. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and -15°C to +80°C during flexible operation. The minimum bending radius is 4 x cable diameter for stationary mode and 7.5 x cable diameter for flexible mode.
The cable has a CE marking, which confirms its compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. The cable conductors are black with white numbering to facilitate identification. A version with a yellow-green protective conductor (marking G) is also available. In this model (marking OZ) the protective conductor is not present.
