Shielded control cable – reliability and safety in every circuit

This flexible, shielded control cable is designed for use in machine and installation construction where high reliability and protection against interference are required. The cable meets UL and CSA standards, guaranteeing its quality and safety. The use of a copper braid screen minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference (EMC), and the special construction provides resistance to mineral and synthetic oils and coolants.

Construction and technical parameters

The cable consists of multi-strand copper conductors twisted, insulated with special PVC TI3. The conductors are black with white number printing for easy identification, and in multi-core cables there is a green-yellow protective conductor. The twisted conductors are arranged in parallel and surrounded by an inner insulation of PVC YM5 and a screen of copper wires covering approximately 85% of the surface. The whole is protected by an outer jacket of special PVC YM5 in gray color (RAL 7001).

The cable has a cross-section of 10 mm², corresponding to approximately AWG8. Its outer diameter is approximately 19.4 mm. The rated voltage U is 600 V, and the test voltage is 3000 V. The insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and the minimum bending radius during permanent laying is 5 x cable diameter, and flexibly 10 x cable diameter. The cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
