TRONIC Flexible Cable – Versatile Application in Installations

TRONIC cable is a flexible wire with PVC insulation, designed for connections in electrical installations where high flexibility and a minimal outer diameter are required. It is ideal for use in mechanical, electronic, computer systems, and control systems. Manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0812, it ensures reliable operation in dry, damp, and wet rooms (not outdoors).

Construction and Parameters

The cable features a stranded wire construction (class 5), providing exceptional flexibility. 36 copper wires, with a cross-section of 0.14 mm², are insulated with special PVC TI2 and color-coded according to DIN 47100 – facilitating the identification of individual wires during installation. Parallel twisted strands ensure a compact cable design with an outer diameter of approximately 9.8 mm. The outer jacket made of PVC TM2 protects the wire from mechanical damage and external factors.

Temperature Range and Properties

The TRONIC cable maintains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -5°C to +80°C during flexible operation and from -40°C to +80°C after fixed installation. It is oil-resistant and has some chemical resistance (detailed information in the "Technical Information" table). The materials used in production are silicone and cadmium-free, making it safe for the environment and people. Additionally, the PVC used for insulation is self-extinguishing and flame-retardant, meeting the VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 standard. Please note that the cable is not intended for high-current applications – its operating voltage is 350V for a cross-section of 0.14 mm².
