TRONIC Flexible Cable – Reliability in Every Connection
This 36-core TRONIC cable is the ideal solution for applications where flexibility and reliability are paramount. The cable is designed for connections inside devices, machines, and control systems, where a large number of cores are required in a compact size. Made from high-quality materials, it ensures long-lasting and safe operation.
Construction and Properties
The cable features a multi-strand, flexible core construction (class 5), which simplifies installation and provides resistance to material fatigue during frequent bending. Core insulation made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) guarantees good electrical insulation and protection against mechanical damage. Color-coded cores facilitate identification and improve the clarity of the installation. An outer jacket made of PVC TM2 further protects the cable from external factors.
The TRONIC cable is oil-resistant and has limited chemical resistance – detailed information can be found in the “Technical Information” table (available in the product documentation). The materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not interfere with painting, making it environmentally friendly and safe to use. The cable meets the safety requirements of VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 and bears the CE mark confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
Applications and Parameters
The TRONIC cable performs perfectly in dry, damp and wet rooms (but not outdoors). It is particularly recommended for use in mechanical, electronic, computer and control systems. Thanks to its minimal outer diameter (approx. 11.3 mm), it allows for aesthetic and compact installation routing. The cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and a core cross-section of 0.25 mm². It has 36 cores, and the operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C after installation and from -5°C to +80°C during installation. The insulation is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the jacket color is gray RAL 7001. Additionally, the cable exhibits radiation resistance up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).
This cable is a solid choice for both professional installers and end-users looking for a reliable solution for their projects.
