Control cable – reliability and flexibility in every application

This multi-core LiY-CY control cable is the ideal solution for flexible connections in medium mechanical stress conditions. The cable construction ensures reliable operation in dry, humid and wet environments (excluding open spaces), and its compact dimensions make it perfect for applications where minimal outer diameter is important. It will work well in both precise industrial installations and in the electronics, computer and measurement sectors.

Construction and properties ensuring long-term operation

The cable is characterized by a solid construction, using multi-wire copper conductors of flexibility class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228). Each core is insulated with PVC type TI2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3), and the twisted cores are arranged in layers with an optimal lay length. In addition, the cable has a screen in the form of a braid of tinned copper wires, which provides electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and protects against interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable PVC jacket type TM2 (DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1/DIN EN 50363-4-1) in gray (RAL 7001).

This cable is not only durable but also resistant to oil and many chemicals. The materials used in its production are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not contain substances that hinder painting. It also meets IEC 60332-1-2 standard regarding fire resistance.

Thanks to the shielding, this cable minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference – for optimal protection, it is recommended to use EMC cable glands with double-sided braid contact. The cable is metered and supplied on a drum, which facilitates its installation and use.
