& This multi-wire control cable LiY-CY, marked in RAL 7001, is a reliable solution for flexible connections in electrical installations. The cable is designed for operation under medium mechanical load, where tensile stresses do not occur. It is perfect for dry, humid and wet rooms (excluding open spaces), and its compact size makes it an ideal choice where minimizing the outer diameter is important.& &

Construction and application&

& This cable is particularly recommended in industries such as tool manufacturing, mechanical engineering, and the electronic, computer, measurement and control sectors. Its small dimensions allow it to be used even in miniature connectors. Made of multi-wire copper conductors class 5 (DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228) and insulated with PVC (TI2 according to DIN VDE 0207-363-3/DIN EN 50363-3), it provides good conductivity and durability. The cores are twisted in layers with a polyester foil as a central element and shielded with a braid of tinned copper wires (approx. 70% coverage). The whole is covered with a PVC jacket (TM2 according to DIN VDE 0207-363-4-1/DIN EN 50363-4-1) in gray (RAL 7001).& &

• Flexibility: The cable retains its properties in the temperature range of -5°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +80°C (stationary).
• Protection against interference: The copper braid screen provides electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), minimizing the impact of interference on transmitted signals. For optimal EMC protection, it is recommended to use EMC cable glands with double-sided braid contact.
• Safety: The cable meets the CE standard (compliance with LVD 2014/35/EU) and has passed flame retardancy tests according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2.
• Chemical resistance: The materials used in production are resistant to oils and some chemicals – detailed information can be found in the Y Technical Information section. They do not contain silicone or cadmium, which affects the safety of use and avoids problems during painting.
• Versatility: The cable is intended for data transmission and should not be used in high-voltage installations. The operating voltage is 300/300V, and the core/core test voltage is 1200V, core/screen – 800V.
• Core identification: Colored cores facilitate identification and connection of wires according to DIN 47100 without repeating colors.
