This shielded control cable from HELUKABEL is an ideal solution for flexible connections in installations where protection against electromagnetic interference is required. The LiY-CY 2x0.5 cable is characterized by high quality and durability, which translates to trouble-free operation in various applications. It is particularly recommended wherever a minimal outer diameter is important – for example, in mechanical engineering, electronics or automation.

Construction and properties

The cable has been designed with demanding working conditions in mind. It consists of two multi-strand copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², insulated with PVC. The conductors are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch and protected with a polyester foil and a braid of tinned copper wires (approx. 70% coverage). The whole is surrounded by a durable PVC coating in grey (RAL 7001). This construction provides not only mechanical protection but also resistance to oils and certain chemicals. The cable complies with DIN VDE 0812 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with LVD 2014/35/EU.
