Power cable NYCY 19x2.5/6 – reliability and safety in every circuit

This 1kV NYCY power cable with 19 cores of 2.5 mm² cross-section is a solid solution for powering various electrical installations. The RE cable, characterized by round, solid copper cores, is designed for demanding industrial, construction and domestic applications. This cable is suitable for underground, underwater installations, as well as inside buildings.

Construction and parameters for professionals

The NYCY cable is distinguished by a careful construction ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. Copper cores are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) DIV4, which guarantees high resistance to mechanical damage and atmospheric factors. Concentrically twisted cores are surrounded by a filling compound, and the whole is protected by an external PVC DMV5 coating. Additionally, the cable has a concentric core that can function as a PE or PEN conductor, as well as a screen. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 23.5 mm.

It is worth noting the wide range of operating temperatures – from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C during installation. The maximum permissible operating temperature of the core is 70°C, and the short-term operating temperature (up to 5 seconds) can reach even 160°C. The rated voltage of the cable is 1000 kV (U) and 600 kV (U0), making it suitable for use in low-voltage networks.

The materials used in production are silicone and cadmium free and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. The cable meets the standards DIN VDE 0276-603, HD 603 S1 and IEC 60502. The CE mark confirms compliance with the low-voltage directive 2014/35/EU.
