This 1kV NYCY 3x1.5/1.5 energy cable is a versatile solution for power transmission in demanding conditions. Made from high-quality materials, this cable is suitable for both industrial installations and residential construction. The cable's construction ensures safety and durability, and its flexibility makes installation easier.

Construction and properties

The NYCY cable is characterized by a solid construction. It has single-wire copper conductors of class 1, insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The twisted conductors provide even load distribution. Additionally, the cable has a filling to prevent moisture ingress and an outer PVC coating that protects against mechanical damage and weathering. An important element is also the concentric conductor, which can function as a protective conductor (PE) or PEN, as well as a screen.

The cable has been tested for fire resistance and self-extinguishing (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1), which increases safety. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting. This means the cable meets strict environmental standards.

Applications and operating parameters

The NYCY 3x1.5/1.5 cable is designed for use in dry and damp indoor areas as well as outdoors – in the ground, in water or in the air. It is suitable for industry, construction of electrical switchboards, power plants and for connecting houses and street lighting. It can also be used as a control cable for transmitting control and regulating pulses.

This cable has a rated voltage of 1000 kV (U) / 600 kV (U0), contains three conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm². Its outer diameter is approximately 13.5 mm. The cable retains its properties in a wide range of operating temperatures from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C during installation. The maximum permissible conductor temperature is 70°C. The minimum bending radius for multi-core versions is 12 x cable diameter, and for single-core versions – 15 x cable diameter.

This cable complies with DIN VDE 0276 part 603, HD 603 S1 and IEC 60502, guaranteeing its high quality and reliability. It also has the CE mark confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive.
