Construction and properties

The NYCY 3x4/4 cable is characterized by a construction that provides high resistance to mechanical damage and external factors. It has three copper conductors with a cross-section of 4 mm², insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Concentrically twisted conductors ensure flexibility and facilitate installation. The whole is surrounded by an external PVC coating, which additionally protects against moisture and damage. It is worth noting that the materials used are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not contain substances that interfere with painting.

This cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +50°C during installation. The maximum permissible conductor temperature is 70°C, and the short-term operating temperature can reach up to +160°C (for 5 seconds). The rated voltage U/U0 is 1000/600 kV, which guarantees safe operation in various conditions. The cable has a class 1 conductor (single-wire) and color-coded conductors, which facilitates correct connection.

Applications and compliance with standards

The NYCY 3x4/4 cable is used in industry, construction, power plants, home connections and street lighting. It will also work as a control cable for transmitting control and measurement pulses. It can be laid in the ground, water, outdoors, in internal rooms, concrete and in cable ducts. The concentric cable can function as a PE or PEN conductor, also serving as a screen.

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0276 part 603, HD 603 S1 and IEC 60502 (for 7 or more conductors – DIN VDE 0276 part 627, HD 627 S1 and IEC 60502). It also has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
