Flexible cable for motors and servo drives

This exceptionally flexible TOPSERV® 109 4x16 cable is designed for use in cable tracks, offering reliability and durability in demanding industrial environments. This cable combines power and control cores, making it an ideal solution where simultaneous thermal protection and braking function are required. It complies with UL AWM Style 21223 or 20234, CSA AWM and VDE standards, confirming its high quality and safety.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by an advanced construction that ensures optimal performance:

• Cores: Copper, stranded, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 6 and IEC 60228 class 6 – guarantees flexibility and resistance to repeated bending.
• Insulation: Polypropylene, halogen-free – ensures safe use and minimizes the emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire.
• Core identification: Power cores are marked with black color with U/L1/C/L+, V/L2 and W/L3/D/L imprints, and control cores (in TOPSERV® 113 and 121 versions) have appropriate markings according to Siemens and Lenze standards.
• Screen: Braid of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%) – provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC).
• Outer jacket: Made of polyurethane (PUR) – resistant to abrasion, oils, hydrolysis, UV radiation and microorganisms. Additionally, it is low-adhesion and self-extinguishing (according to DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).

The TOPSERV® 109 4x16 cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range:

• Operating temperature (flexible): -30°C to +80°C
• Operating temperature (stationary): -40°C to +90°C
• Rated voltage: VDE U0/U 600/1000 V, UL/CSA 1000 V
• Minimum bending radius: approx. 7.5 x cable diameter (flexible), 4 x cable diameter (fixed installation).

Meets the requirements of DESINA® standards, guaranteeing high quality and reliability in industrial applications. The cable is also compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 21.6 mm. The core cross-section is 16 mm².
